Education

University of Moratuwa

Currently I am reading for my B.Sc. in Information Technology and Management at the Faculty of IT, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.

Ananda College

I did my A/Ls in the Commerce stream at Ananda College, Colombo. I was able to secure 3 A passes in the subjects of Information Technology, Accounting, and Economics and was placed 4th in the island.

Mahanama College

I studied primary education and sat for O/Ls at Mahanama College, Colombo.

Anime

I am a fan of Anime.

My favorite anime studio is Studio Ghibli, and I love all the films they have created. I came across Studio Ghibli during the time I spent in Japan, when I was around 3 years old. From those days, I still watch Ghibli films. I just rewatch them whenever I feel like it. I really love how Ghibli portrays deep and meaningful ideas, and how they are able to transcend us in to a completely different yet familiar world. It literally takes me some time to get adjusted to the real world after watching a Ghibli film.

I should definetely mention how much I love Joe Hisaishi's music in Studio Ghibli films. It's the perfect therapy when I feel down, it's the perfect booster when I feel happy, and the feeling I get when I listen to his music is just indescribable. It's a mix of nostalgia, love, happiness, and sadness all at once.

Apart from Studio Ghibli, I deeply love the Naruto series as well. I have watched the series multiple times and this is another series that I came across during my time in Japan. To mention a few more, I love Demon Slayer, Attack on Titan, Jobless Reincarnation, and so on.

Music

For music, I enjoy JPOP. Some of my favorite artists are YOASOBI, Aimyon, and Nishino Kana. I also enjoy listening to Joe Hisaishi's music from Studio Ghibli films as I mentioned earlier. Apart from that, I also love to listen music from other anime series as well.

Books

Dan Brown is one of my favorite authors. I have read all the books and I really love how he researches a lot before writing a book. I love how every book is packed with a lot of interesting facts and how he is able to keep the reader engaged throughout the book.

I also read Sinhala translations of English books. I have read Chandana Mendis' translations of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, PB Senanayaka's translations of Bigglesworth Flight Adventures by Capton WE Johns, and so on.

Guitar

I play guitar as a hobby, although I have never been consistent. However, I enjoy playing the guitar and I love how it can make me feel relaxed.
